Stewardship thought for the week
June 18, 2017 – Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi)
“Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.” 1 CORINTHIANS 10:17
As disciples of Jesus, we are called to lead holy lives and invite others to join us. Living a stewardship lifestyle, being grateful and generous with our gifts, serves a twofold purpose. One, it helps build God’s kingdom here on earth. Two, it is a road map to Heaven. Let’s help each other get there!

Saints Peter and Paul parish will be hosting a get-to-know-your-brunch on Sunday, June 25. They have invited us and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. This should be a lot of fun and there will be some great food. The brunch is free but they need a head count to know how much food to prepare. There are sign-up sheets at the entrance to church. They will be accepting free-will donations. The deadline for signing up is today.
Free Concert—Friday, June 30 at the Cardinal Rigali Center. The concert will honor our veterans and will feature Saint Louis’ own world-famous Soprano Christine Westhoff. This will also mark the release of Christine’s new CD, Gloria Halleluja. Donations will go to the VA Medical Center at Jefferson Barracks.
What a great way to begin the Independence Day weekend!
Sign up for our parish app—Stay up-to-date on what’s happening with our parish app. You’ll get updates, weekly bulletins, prayers, and Catholic news. The app is free. All you have to do is text the word “app” to 88202.
Vacation—As you know, when you’re on vacation most of your bills just keep coming. The phone company doesn’t accept “I was on vacation” as a reason for not paying. Your church’s expenses also go on 365 days per year. In fact, our bills are usually higher in the summer. Please don’t forget us!
